New Fences
Dear Neighbors,
Six homes around the Laurel Hollow Circle alley are having our fences replaced. They are over 20 years old and looking it. By doing several at once, we are trying to get the best price for the job. The company we are using, Coldwater Fencing, has done a lot of work in our neighborhood and did the replacement of our outer perimeter fences after the big windstorm a few years ago. We were very pleased with the service they provided on that job. He has offered to give us his very best rate since he will be working in the area. If you are interested, please let me know or contact them directly at 901-568-3036. Each fence job is different so you can’t easily compare prices for one yard to another.
We are going to start working on a new directory for the neighborhood. If you have any changes to your entry, please let me or your Block Captain know as soon as possible.
The Town will start loose leaf collection next week. The “Leaf Sucking Trucks" are suppose to come on the same day as our regular trash pickup, Mondays, but they are often delayed by weather or too many leaves. When you pile them in the gutter in front of your home, be sure to keep the pile away from overhanging trees, storm drains, and water meters. They do not want sticks or pine needles in the leaf pile. They do not pick up in the alleys so you will have to drag your leaf piles to the front of your house.
Please check your landscaping along the sidewalk to see if your shrubs or trees are obstructing free passage along the sidewalk. Some tree branches or bushes are growing out or too low and should be trimmed back.
Enjoy the beautiful Fall weather and stay safe. Thank you.
