Neighborhood News
Dear Neighbors,
As many of you may have heard through The Laurels Grapevine, we have had two recent ambulance visits to the neighborhood. Neither was too severe.
One lady had fallen while walking in the streets and may have broken her wrist. She was taken to the hospital and while there, they found another possible issue with a non-malignant tumor. She will need an operation but should be okay. You may look for a future meal support group to help them out while she recovers.
The other incident was a man who had a heart issue but was deemed well enough to be sent home after being taken to the hospital.
We are thankful these incidents were not too serious and they were handled efficiently and successfully. Please be careful while walking our streets or sidewalks.
We still plan to build our storage shed this Friday and Saturday. Anyone wishing to help or observe is welcome to come by, starting at noon on Friday and noon on Saturday. The shed will be built in the area of the water pumping station, behind the first house in our neighborhood, 1944 Laurel Lane. Access is through the East alley behind Laurel Lane.
Thank you.
